Phil Soliman is a multi-disciplinary artist concerned with truth in all of its slippery, temporal, subjective and objective manifestations. For 5 years has used photography, video, installation, performance, drawing and new media to explore how individual and collective understandings of truth shape our behaviours and interactions. His interest in truth has recently centred around Egypt’s historical and political realities and mythologies, and how they intersect with his upbringing and identity as the son of Egyptian immigrants.
