Bio

Philip Soliman is a Melbourne-based interdisciplinary artist, designer, curator and educator working across photography, sound, video, digital art and performance. Over the last 10 years he has produced and shown work in major cities in Australia and New Zealand, including a co-production with Metro Arts in Brisbane, a mentorship and artist residency with PACT and Performance Space in Sydney, This is Not Art Festival in Newcastle, and the Melbourne Fringe and Midsumma festivals. He holds a Masters of Fine Arts (with Distinction) from RMIT University.

His recent work centres on subjective ‘truth’ and how it is influenced by personal, social, cultural, political and ideological frameworks, intertwining deeply personal narratives, cultural artifacts and humour with scientific and philosophical enquiry.
