Not Done Yet

Not Done Yet is a glimpse into the lives of trans and gender-diverse young people living in Melbourne, created especially for #TransDayofVisibility. Featuring music by Trans artists SIMONA and Zaya Barroso.

Thanks to William Eicholtz and his Courage sculpture, commissioned by the Yarra City Council, to acknowledge the contributions of Australia’s LGBTQIA+ community, and to commemorate the life of Australia’s first openly gay mayor, Ralph McLean.

Directed, filmed and edited by Melbourne-based interdisciplinary artist Phil Soliman, Not Done Yet is the starting point of a longer film project that examines the challenges and triumphs of #trans and #genderdiverse people in Australia and around the world. If you’d like to be part of this project, to either contribute your story, or help make it, please get in touch. The hope is that through this project conversations about #transvisibility #transphobia #tpoc #intersectionality and other trans issues will become more mainstream and effect actual change for members of the trans community, whether they are visible or not.
