Not Done Yet is a glimpse into the lives of trans and gender-diverse young people living in Melbourne, created especially for #TransDayofVisibility. Featuring music by Trans artists SIMONA and Zaya Barroso.
Thanks to William Eicholtz and his Courage sculpture, commissioned by the Yarra City Council, to acknowledge the contributions of Australia’s LGBTQIA+ community, and to commemorate the life of Australia’s first openly gay mayor, Ralph McLean.
Directed, filmed and edited by Melbourne-based interdisciplinary artist Phil Soliman, Not Done Yet is the starting point of a longer film project that examines the challenges and triumphs of #trans and #genderdiverse people in Australia and around the world. The hope is that through this project conversations about #transvisibility #transphobia #tpoc #intersectionality and other trans issues will become more mainstream and effect actual change for members of the trans community, whether they are visible or not.
